SUMENDI is a production company founded in 2020 and based in Barcelona. Ander Sagardoy, Andrea Martínez, Eneko Sagardoy and Jofre Farré are partners in the company, bringing their passion and recognised experience in the audiovisual industry.
Our work has been recognised by prestigious festivals around the world, including San Sebastián, Austin, Moscow, Shanghai, Málaga, ZINEBI and Gijón.
In 2026, we premiered the feature film Mala bèstia (2026), the debut feature by Bárbara Farré (Dama Award for Best National Film at Atlàntida Film Festival); and La Prona (2026), a short film directed by photographer and visual storyteller Maria Contreras Coll. The filming of Memorial, Sergi Pérez’s second feature film, and Beba, a feature film directed by Natalia Cabral, will begin shortly. Meanwhile, the short films Geratzen den hori (2025), by Aitor Gametxo, and Ser un hombre (2025), by Lucas Parra, continue their festival runs at major national and international festivals.
We are also currently developing several projects, including the feature film Borderline, based on the Oscar-nominated short film Nefta Football Club; Toni Roma, a feature film written and directed by Marina Rodríguez Colás; La cuadrilla, a feature film written and directed by Lucas Parra; Sa filla bastarda, a feature film written and directed by Olivia Delcán; and Todos pensaban que estaba muy bien, a short film written and directed by Marçal Cebrian.
In 2025, our production Betiko gaua (2023) received a nomination for the Goya Award for Best Fiction Short Film.
