SUMENDI is a production company founded in July 2020 and based in Barcelona. Ander Sagardoy, Eneko Sagardoy and Jofre Farré participate as partners.
Our productions have been recognized in prestigious festivals, such as San Sebastián, Moscow, Shanghai, Austin, Málaga, ZINEBI and Gijón, among others.
During 2026 we will release the feature film Mala bèstia (2026), the debut film by Bárbara Farré; and La Prona (2026), a short film directed by photographer and visual narrator Maria Contreras Coll. Also we will start the filmings of Memorial, the second feature film by Sergi Pérez; and Beba, a feature film directed by Natalia Cabral. Likewise, the short films Geratzen den hori (2025), directed by Aitor Gametxo; and Ser un hombre (2025), directed by Lucas Parra, will continue their presence at national and international festivals.
We are currently in the development phase of various projects, among which are the feature film Borderline, sequel to Nefta Football Club, Oscar-nominated short film; Toni Roma, feature film written and directed by Marina Rodríguez Colás; La cuadrilla, feature film written and directed by Lucas Parra; and Tots pensaven que estava molt bé, a short film written and directed by Marçal Cebrian.
In 2025, our short film Betiko gaua (2023) was nominated for the Goya Award for Best Fiction Short Film.
